Flooded golf cart questions
Do you buy golf carts flooded by saltwater or storm surge?
Yes. Saltwater and storm surge carts are exactly what we buy. Tell us roughly how high the water reached and how long the cart sat, and include photos if you can.
Can a flooded golf cart be fixed?
Sometimes. A cart that sat briefly in fresh rainwater may come back with drying, cleaning and new batteries. Carts that sat in saltwater usually keep failing as corrosion spreads, and repairs often cost more than the cart is worth. Our guide on saltwater golf cart damage explains why.
Should I try to start or charge my golf cart after a flood?
No. Leave the key off and the charger unplugged. Powering a wet cart can short the controller, and a flooded lithium battery can catch fire. Follow our first 48 hours checklist instead.
My insurance company totaled my golf cart. Can I still sell it?
Often, yes. If you keep the salvage, or your insurer is selling it, we can make an offer. Check your claim paperwork first, then send us the details.
Do you buy flooded lithium golf carts?
Yes. We buy flooded lithium carts and move them safely. Until pickup, keep the cart outdoors and away from buildings if you can, and never charge it. Read more about flooded lithium battery safety.
Where do you pick up flooded golf carts?
All over Florida, from the Panhandle and the Big Bend to Tampa Bay, Southwest Florida, South Florida and the Keys, and anywhere else in the U.S.
